Kay Kent/Marilyn Monroe impersonator 1963-1989 RIP ..By Sonya Roseman

RIP Kay Kent - Marilyn Monroe Impersonator

Kay was from Chatham Kent. She worked for the Lookalike Agy from 1983 til her death in June of 1989. Kay committed suicide after her Mothers passing (from cancer) a few months before and her boyfriend Dean Hammond left her for a local singer..
Kay was loved and was becoming incredibly famous. She was featured in pop videos, mainstream media and publications such as 'Penthouse' and newspapers local/national...

A few weeks before her death she recorded 'My heart belongs to Terry' (For Terrys' Chocolate Orange commercial for TV/ as in Monroes' 'My heart belongs to daddy')
The commercial wasn't recorded but her family still have the cassette tape of Kay singing the audio in a studio with a 13 piece orchestra. Apparently it was uncannily like Marilyn!
There were rumours Kay was murdered.. These were quashed by her older brother Jay Kent, who found her lifeless body naked as her idol in her bed and strangely enough in the room she was born..
Kay died from an overdose of her Mothers' cancer medication. She was just 25 years old..

Ever young, ever beautiful, ever Marilyn/Kay this blog is for Kay as one of her fans..
I saw her just once as a twelve year old school girl walking with her boyfriend in Rochester High St. and was fascinated and have been ever since, by her resemblance to the worlds most famous and tragic blonde..
Sleep well Kay/Marilyn..

'It was as though taking in Marilyns' appearance, I've inherited her problems'
